Are you going to be there ?
UnLtd Sport Relief Awards
Have you ever thought about getting up a project to involve other young people in target shooting - or other sports?
If so, have a look at the website for UnLtd Sport Relief Awards, who provide grants to those between 11-21 who need funding for such a project.
<http://unltd.org.uk> - there’s quite a lot of other interesting stuff on it, as well.
"Dear friends from Great Britain Rifle and Pistol Squad,
For seventeen years I enjoyed the priviledge to be closely connected to your squad. When Barry Dagger announced his ideas about international matches in 1991 I became his counterpart for Oldenburg. In between this two-party match has develloped into a decent international competition. I am proud having been amongst those who made it happen.
From the beginning I had declared to step back from heading Team Oldenburg and from the organisation at Oldenburg when I had reached the age of 60. This happened this year and I decided to follow my declaration.
Special Message From Peter Berger

I never thought that the work I had done for all those years had made such an impact on your side. I was simply caught on the wrong foot when all the honours and presents were overpouring me. I think it was the first time in my life that I was unable to speak a word. I even missed the opportunity to thank you properly when I was given the microphone. I think I was touched deep in my heart. It was extremely emotional for me, so please accept my apologies for this failure.
Many thanks for all the gifts presented to me. I am so grateful for everything, the beer-mugs which will be used for the first time soon, filled with the Ale you provided for me, the Golden Pin with the Arms of Oldenburg found a place already in my cubbord, not to forget the honour provided by the NSRA. I am not a person to aim for honours, but I am extremely proud that my work was so much respected. Thank you so much.
I will not vanish, as proposed at the presentation. I will be there, in the background, if advice or help is needed. I will continue to supply equipment to all who are connected with this unique event. I sincerely hope to see you sometimes either at Bisley or at Oldenburg. I wish you all the best, health and successes in shooting as in your entire life.
Thank you for having me.
Peter Berger
